THE NEW WORLD OF TV BUYING

Facebook Is Still Serving Political Ads In Washington See the article here

Further follow-up on Facebook’s issues with political advertisers. Washington state has a specific law requiring much more information to be disclosed about political ads than Facebook enables, meaning no single Facebook ad actually follows state legislation.  Because of this, Facebook has claimed to have banned all local and state political ads relating to Washington.  Despite this claim, several local politicians have simply gone through the regular approval process to find their ads continue to run.

To put it simply, Facebook simply is paying lip service to their own efforts to follow legislation regarding political ads.  Whether it’s due to incompetence (with no manual reviewers of ads meaning a lot slips through the cracks) or malice (still generating revenue from political ads while feigning compliance) is as of yet unknown.

Bulk Sender Guidelines See the article here.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has drastically changed the way in which we live on a day-to-day basis and especially in business. Email marketing is still considered one of the most efficient ways to communicate with our customers and leads for marketers, but it is also severely affected by AI. Here are a few tips for bulk senders that may assist with increasing deliverability.

PPC STRATEGY

Click Share Is Now In Search Campaigns See the article here.

Google has made impression-share available since the inception of Google Ads. There have been limitations in what this data provides as far as how you stack up against your competitors. With this roll-out of click share, we can now understand what keywords we are losing valuable clicks on. We can begin to specifically optimize bids or ad content based on data that shows where the greatest opportunity lies.

SPOTIFY REMOVES AD BLOCKERS FOR FREE ACCOUNTS

Eric Ortiz
Director of Sales + Acquisition

Free Account? You Must See Ads! see the article here.

Great news for advertisers. Bad news for ad blockers. Spotify is joining a select few other publishers in not allowing their ads to be blocked through traditional ad blocking programs. With $198 Million in Ad Revenue last year, I’d be wanting to protect the advertisers too!

We hope you enjoyed these snippets of information that we chose to share. Look out for the upcoming #ThursdayThoughts post. (Yes, it’ll be on Thursday). See our previous post here.
