While Facebook’s effort to grow the userbase of their video platform hasn’t been as successful as planned, it has still grown to enough size to warrant introducing their monetization method for it.  Facebook Watch programs’ can now be selected as placements for premium video ads.  More details may still be incoming, but with online streaming continually becoming the more common way of consuming video content, Facebook is hoping to lay the structure for gleaning revenue from that trend.
