Whereas historically Facebook has not advertised itself directly to consumers nearly as much as competitors in the social media space, they are looking to return to that to build trust again.

AR has been in the works for quite some time, but YouTube advertising is now starting to create ad units to take full advantage of these technologies capabilities. The first of these ads features lipstick and is called AR Beauty Try-On, which allows users to “try on” makeup to the tutorials of their favorite makeup artists.
