Scammers have taken advantage of paranoia surrounding the Coronavirus, and digital ad platforms’ inability to enforce their standards. Not only should Google, Facebook, and Snapchat learn lessons from this regarding their approval process, but advertisers should take note of the existence of these ads. Unfortunately, we have to reclaim the reputation of digital and social media advertising from bad actors like this.
